As an Application Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• 
  
• Determining technical and commercial requirements of applications
  
• Selecting the appropriate G&W product to meet these requirements
  
• Developing accurate cost models for standard and custom equipment
  
• Negotiating price levels and lead times
  
• Communicating requirements to G&W's Order Management team
  
• Partnering with Sales Team to develop customer sales strategies
  
• Developing custom solutions with customers and our Engineering team
  
• Managing commercial and technical aspects of customers
  
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal resources and Sales Team
  
• Providing timely and effective communication to internal resources and Sales Team
  
• Collaborating with Application Engineering management to improve department quality and reduce scrap/rework
  
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college
    
  • 3 years of experience in an Application Engineering role at G&W Electric
    
  • 5 years of experience in an Application Engineering role outside G&W
    
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
    
  • Strong computer proficiency and interpersonal skills
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Experience with switchgear, reclosers, SF6 insulated and dielectric insulated switches
      
      
      Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

      • General Office Environment, PC use
        
      • Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)
        
      • Stooping
