philanthropy, and others. We work with partners to improve the
capacity, outcomes and impacts of community development and housing

Community Resilience Practice Area
Communities across the country face a variety of climate and
economic hazards. These hazards-from hurricanes to the loss of a
major employer-can be foreseeable or unpredictable, natural or
human-made, acute or long-term, local or global.
Housing & community development, land & zoning, economic and
housing planning, policies, historical investments and practices
have contributed to the uneven distribution of risks and
disproportionate impact of these hazards-hitting the most divided,
marginalized, and distressed communities hardest. Conversely, these
same tools can increase a household's and a community's
resilience-strengthening their ability to assess, prepare for, and
mitigate risks; adapt to changing conditions; and withstand or
quickly recover from the disaster or disruptions climate and
economic hazards can cause. Advisors' Community Resilience practice
area works to strengthen the resilience of communities that are
most vulnerable to and impacted by climate and economic
hazards.
Advisors seeks a Director of Community Resilience to lead a
portfolio of work focused on either economic resilience or climate
resilience. This position may be based in any of the following
locations: Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Cleveland, OH;
