• Supporting the successful execution of the region's strategic plan with a focus on assigned territory.
• Handling an existing portfolio of E&S General Liability business, meeting growth goals and ensuring profitability for the region.
• Supporting, aiding, and developing new products based on experience.
• Creating visibility in the assigned territory by communicating underwriting appetite and generating new opportunities through outstanding broker relationships.
• Working independently with underwriting authority based on experience level.
• Cultivating key broker relationships in the region to maintain a steady stream of business within our underwriting appetite.
• Providing clients with a service that supports the positive image of the company.
• Building partnerships with other core lines to aid cross-sell opportunities.
• Cross-marketing with other XL lines; meeting with brokers and insureds as required.You will report to the Head of E&S General Liability within AXA XL Wholesale Solutions.Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
• A moderate amount of E&S General Liability Underwriting Experience.
• Outstanding existing marketing relationships within their assigned territory with experience in a production underwriting role.
• Possess in-depth underwriting expertise across general classes and manage a high volume portfolio.
• Self-starter who is organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team-centric environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain outstanding insured and broker contacts.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with a willingness to mentor others.Travel is estimated at 20%.Location: US-IL-Chicago, US-AZ-Scottsdale CityU.S. Pay Range: $148,000 - $177,000.
